Frequently asked questions

Simple answers to your questions about payments, metals, and account management.

How long does it take to process my order?

Orders typically process within 2-3 business days. Once processed, your order will be shipped via secure carrier and typically arrives within 3-5 business days for domestic deliveries. From start to finish, you can expect to receive your metals within 5-8 business days from the date of purchase. For your protection, all orders valued at over $500 require a signature upon delivery. Special requests are encouraged to be called in to our support team.

Do I need an account to purchase metals from Alpine Gold?

No, you have two convenient options for purchasing metals. Option 1: Buy metals using a credit/debit card for direct shipping to your address. Option 2: Buy through your online precious metals account, which allows for additional payment methods, including wire transfers, ACH, and checks. This option includes the ability to vault your metals and access membership benefits such as TruLink Visa® card access and gold-bearing lease opportunities.

What payment methods do you accept?

For direct purchases through our website, we accept major credit and debit card providers, which process quickly after approval by our fraud prevention software. Maximum purchase limits may apply.

For precious metal account holders, we provide additional payment flexibility, including wire transfers that process same-day, ACH transfers that clear within 3-5 business days, and personal checks that typically clear within 5-7 business days.

How can I use my account?

Your account allows you to buy, sell, and transfer precious metals, participate in gold-bearing leases, make purchases using the TrueLink card, and more. You can also view statements and account summaries. Create an account here.

Can I add family members or children to my account?

While you cannot add family members directly to your account, each family member can create their own UPMA account and become a beneficiary of your account. You can then easily transfer metals between accounts without the hassle of typical asset transfers.

What kind of insurance protects my account?

All stored metals are fully insured through a comprehensive policy that protects against physical loss, theft, and damage. The coverage extends to 100% of the market value of your metals.

How do I know my metals are really there?

Regular third-party audits, 100% insurance coverage, and industry-leading transparency ensure your metals are secure, accounted for in your online account, and available to you. We welcome all members to attend UPMA meetings to hear the public declarations and results of these audits. Campus tours are available by appointment; some conditions may apply.

How do I take possession of my metals from my online account?

You can request a physical withdrawal of your metals through your account dashboard. Once processed, you can pick up your metals at one of our branches or have them shipped to your preferred address.

Can I send my own metals to be vaulted with Alpine Gold?

Yes, you can send your own metals to be vaulted with Alpine Gold, though there are some important guidelines to follow. We accept U.S. government-minted coins and Goldbacks, which are subject to a 5% network entry fee. For Silver Eagle coins brought from outside our network, pricing will be determined by our supplier rates. All metals should be shipped to our Alpine, Utah headquarters using an insured carrier with signature delivery. Please read the following instructions for shipping your metals.
